Almost 20,000 seats in 64 modular rooms, production and interpreter booths, an auditorium with acoustics that make it perfect as a concert venue, 54,000 square metres of supporting exhibiting area, a cabling system that enables simultaneous connection of 25,000 devices to a single Wi-Fi network at one gigabyte a second, new-gen lights and LEDs, plus catering services in line with the the best Italian traditions: this is the Milano Congressi (MiCo).
Focusing on large international conventions for both associations and the corporate sector, specialising in medical congresses and offering a capacity unequalled in Europe, the MiCo is one of the biggest world players in the congress business. In 2014, the MiCo was centre-stage in European politics for the six-month Italian presidency (July-December 2014). A great many appointments were held in the congress centre, including the meeting for European ministers for justice and home affairs, followed by cooperation and development, environment, labour, defence, infrastructures and transport, and energy. Milan, served by three international airports, is a natural crossroads for markets in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Orient.
MiCo is managed by Fiera Milano Congressi S.p.A. (a company owned by Gruppo Fiera Milano), the leading Italian player of the meeting industry ever since its establishment (1994).
Among the largest congress centres in the world, inaugurated in May 2011, today MiCo is at the top of the offer of congress venues in Europe.
